Save money on your energy bills with energy efficient windows

WER energy ratings indicating how energy efficient windows areAll replacement window installations are subject to Building Regulation requirements. The Window Energy Rating (WER) scheme is a recognised method of compliance. Windows are rated using the ‘rainbow’ scale with G (red) being the least energy efficient and A (green) indicating the most energy efficient windows.

WER rating for windows is determined by 3 factors:

  • How much free heat and light is captured from the sun
  • How well heat is retained and radiated back into a room
  • Amount of heat lost due to draughts or cold spots

Mendip supply windows glazed with Planitherm glass, a high performance glazing system that is specifically designed to improve your home’s energy efficiency. All of our windows are A-rated as standard, meaning Mendip windows are highly effective at retaining heat whilst reducing draughts and cold spots, saving you money on your energy bills.
